The sun shone on the annual Cinco de Mayo, held May 7 this year at Larson Park, in the heart of the community that brings this celebration to the Valley.
The festive afternoon was filled with mariachi, taco stands, fruit vendors, a balloon vendor, information and education booths, stalls with clothing and other gifts. A popular feature were the dancers of Quetzalén, Sonoma’s folkloric troupe, led by Víctor Ferrer. Pictured here is a dance from the State of Michoacan. Other traditional dances were from the states of Oaxaca, Nayarit, and Nuevo León.
