The mood was somber this morning as Prestwood school said goodbye to the Maloney family. Parents and teachers wept but children seemed to find some joy as each of the 21 classes let loose symbolic balloons while thinking of the Maloney family and making a wish for the future. After the balloon release, the teachers of the Maloney children, Aiden and Gracie, along with Superintendent Pam Martens released four doves, each representing a member of the family. Pictured here are a number of the students who were some of the closest classmates to the Maloney children.
