As of today, Aug. 2, Altimira Veterinary Hospital is celebrating its first anniversary, one year after it relocated from Boyes Hot Springs to downtown Sonoma.
“This year has zoomed by so fast” said Dr. Christopher Forsythe, who has owned Altimira Veterinary Hospital for eight years, but purchased the location on Broadway only last year. The downtown site is in a historic Victorian that is a far cry from the old single-story hospital that once stood at the corner of Boyes Blvd. and Arnold Dr.
“From the moment we opened at this location, people and pets have loved this place as much as we do. It has been a positive experience for the business.”
Part of the anniversary celebration has included planting a rose bush in the front yard in memory of special pets who have joined our family “and some dear friends who’ve left us for a better place this past year,” as Forsythe put it. “The Goodman house suits this practice well. It feels like home with all the natural light. Pets meander in here with nary a care, and this place houses the love and delight we have for pets.”
Altimira Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Saturday at 735 Broadway, Sonoma. The phone number is 707.938.4546.
