Hertz:
Hertz Local Edition will request approval for a Use Permit to operate a vehicle rental business from the Bonanza Ford dealership at 977 West Napa Street at its intersection with Riverside Drive and Hwy. 12.
This property is designated commercial; the proposed business has no consistency issues regarding the 2020nGeneral Plan, no negative impacts on local residents, and is compatible with other businesses in the area.
With customer pick-up and delivery service, Hertz plans to operate with 10-12 rental vehicles and two employees between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Sojourn Cellars:
Sojourn Cellars is requesting a Use Permit to allow a residence at 657A First Street West to be converted to a wine tasting and office facility near the intersection of First Street West and Maple Street.
The proposed use will occur within an existing building with no new development. This property is designated Mixed Use which, among other things, provides a transition between commercial and residential development while providing a pedestrian presence in commercial areas.
With no bulk wine storage, large scale deliveries or employees, the business will be staffed by its owners and the wine tasting business will be limited to its clients by appointment only.

Scotty’s Taxi Service:
Scotty’s Taxi Service is requesting a Use Permit at 811 West Napa Street near the Sonoma Valley Library.
This property is designated commercial and although the proposed business has no consistency issues regarding the 2020 General Plan, to prevent a negative impact to local residents, the Planning Commission will consider a condition to prohibit the business and its employees from parking in the rear lot between 7 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
At a reduced rate or at no charge, the business intends to provide safe rides for children, battered spouses, and restaurant, bar and winery customers; discounts to seniors; and hospital transportation for the elderly and low-income people along with medication delivery to the disabled and the homebound.
With no more than two employees within the office component operating 8 a.m-6 p.m. daily, the business will provide a year-round 24-hour taxi service.
