The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival Amateur Wine Competition has extended its application deadline to Friday, Aug.17.
Paula Vinson, chairperson for community events for the 110th Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival has announced an extension of the deadline for this year’s Amateur Wine Competition. “We wanted to make sure that all those who are choosing to participate are given the opportunity. We have a par excellence panel of judges set to review, taste and judge these wines and we certainly welcome all those who would still like to register and become a part of another true tradition: our Vintage Festival.”
“The host for this year’s contest is SL Cellars in Kenwood and we thank them for their gracious donation of their facility for this superior judging event. There will be judging in all varietal categories including an award for the best wine label.”
Entry forms can be downloaded from the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival Web site, www.sonomavinfest.org or by visiting the Wine Exchange on the Plaza or by calling 707.996.6881 to request faxed forms.
Entry fee is $20 per bottle. Winners will be announced at the festival’s Friday Night Patron’s Wine and Food Gala on September 28 in the courtyard at the historic Barracks.
