Three young men were arrested for the 2007 shotgun murder of teenager Luis Miranda. The first, an accessory, has done his time. The second, the man who provided the gun, was sentenced last year to at least 34 years in prison.
The third and final ruling came Tuesday, more than three years after the 17-year-old Miranda was gunned down as he stood with a group of teens in Maxwell Farms Park.
Juan Calderon, the man police said pulled the trigger, plead guilty to second-degree murder. The Nov. 9 deal calls for a 25-years-to-life sentence.
A minor at the time of the shooting, Calderon was initially charged with first-degree murder. He will be eligible for parole no sooner than 2035.
