Sonoma writer (and musician) Bill Moody has been riffing on the jazz mystery genre for seven books now, through which his Evan Horne character shows hands for the piano and a nose for trouble.
His latest, “Fade to Blue,” finds Horne in Los Angeles tutoring a movie star on how to look like he’s playing piano for an upcoming film. Life is as lush as a Billy Strayhorn tune until the (inevitable) dead body shows up. Meet the author on Tuesday, May 10, 7:30 p.m. at Readers’ Books in Sonoma.
