While the Ides of March brings thoughts of gloom and doom to some, Barking Dog Roasters is hoping to bring out some of the good on the infamous day, as they will host the Ides of March Folk Fest.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Boyes Hot Springs café, which is at 18133 Sonoma Highway, just across the street from the Big 3 Diner and the Boyes Hot Springs post office.
The festival will honor folk legend Fred Neil, who was a big inspiration to some of the most important figures in the history of music, including Bob Dylan, David Crosby and John Sebastian.
There will be live music at this event, as Joe Chaplain & Jim Small will perform, along with Lina R. and Sam Heywood. There will also be live poetry read by Lin Marie de Vincent.
Duck and Cover Productions is putting on the free event, and if you need to contact Barking Dog about this or any other upcoming events, you can call them at 707.939.1905.
No need to beware the Ides of March
