Dance for the Troops, the 1940’s-themed bash complete with a big band and a sweet-singing female harmony group, the Fondettes, transforms the Sonoma veterans building into a USO hall.
The November 12 event, presented by American Legion Jack London Post #489, will fund packages for the American heroes serving overseas. Dancing (jitterbug at your own risk), food and full bar. Era costumes, uniforms and hair-do’s encouraged. 6 to 10 p.m. $55 at the door. 126 First St. W.
