Additional History of Historic Race Car

Editor:Your article about the Vintage car festival featured the beautiful Shadow. The interview with Steven Earle was informative, but failed to mention that much of the car’s history was in California. My late husband, Barry Evans, was the chief mechanic and Don Nichols from Salinas put those cars on the track. I have early photos of Jackie Oliver and Phil Hill and Peter Revson and Tom Pryce all with their Shadows. ( Tom Pryce was killed racing in 197 7 on a wet track in South Africa F1 race, Peter Revson, killed in Kyalami F1 race in 1974) Just wanted to add to the history that was in the article since so much of its history is local.
