If you have a home-based business, the Sonoma Valley Economic Development Partnership wants to get to know you better.
The partnership has launched an online survey specifically for home-based businesses in Sonoma Valley. The survey includes about 20 questions and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The link to the survey can be found on the home page of the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce at www.sonomachamber.com.
It is estimated that at least one out of every five businesses in Sonoma Valley is home-based. “We know that these businesses are a major part of our local economy, but we really don’t know much about them. Learning more about their needs and challenges will help to determine what types of resources, services, and policies will help these businesses to be successful,” said Laurie Decker, economic development manager. The survey is a component of a larger project, dubbed the Economic Information Initiative, to develop more comprehensive information on the Sonoma Valley economy in order to better assist in the retention, expansion and attraction of healthy local businesses.
Home-based business owners who complete the survey are eligible for a drawing for weekend brunch for two at Santé, donated by the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. Survey results will be made available on a summary basis through a report on the Chamber’s Web site.
