To accommodate the Presidents’ Day holiday, the Sonoma City Council meet Wednesday, Feb. 23.
On the agenda is the expected approval of a $16 million bond issue. The panel will hear the midyear budget report and treasurer’s report, and consider a request from the Sonoma Community Center for funding from the city’s Community Development Agency.
The regular session will begin at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room, 177 First St. W.
Preceding the regular meeting will be a joint session with the Community Services and Environment Commission, which begins at 5 p.m. A closed session is scheduled 6 to 7 p.m.
The meeting will be broadcast live on Sun TV Channel 27 and sonomasuntv.com.
Wednesday had been the traditional night for the bi-monthly council meetings, but the permanent schedule – other than allowances for holidays – was switched to Mondays earlier this month.
