- Quarter Acre Farm offers basic vegetable gardening class for newbies on Sunday (3/22) at their Sonoma farm. - Christopher Sawyer wins Best Sommelier in Sonoma County for the second year in a row in the Bohemian’s best of. This is less than one year after leaving the restaurant som-world to do his own thing as an independent sommelier. Congratulations!

- Three Sticks Winery’s Adobe opens for appointment only tastings in downtown Sonoma. The Vallejo-Casteñada Adobe is one of the oldest continuously occupied homes in Sonoma County and features historical exhibitions and of course, wine. - Jewish Winemakers and Nosh is April 12 at Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall. It’s the 5th annual event and will be a fun afternoon celebrating Jewish wine and food from throughout Wine Country. Sonoma Valley wineries include B.R. Cohn, Cline, Jacuzzi, Idell, Orpheus, and others from throughout the region. Jewish food and live jazz, too. Tickets $50 now, $60 at the door. Learn more here.
- Taste for Conservation is May 17 which benefits the conservation, education and science programs of Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR). The event will take place at the beautiful Bouverie Preserve and will feature an auction and a celebration of the diversity of ACR’s four main preserves. Dinner will be prepared by Catherine Venturini of Olive & Vine, Brandon Guenther of Firefly Catering and Elaine Bell Catering. Tickets are $175. Learn more here.
- Gay Wine Weekend is June 19-21 and will feature tons of great events, highlights include winemaker dinners at Envolve/Glen Ellen Star, Gary Farrell/girl & the fig, La Crema/The General’s Daughter, and Ravenswood/Saddles, the Twilight T-Dance at Buena Vista Winery and the Gay Wine Auction & Recovery Brunch – proceeds from the latter two events support Face to Face, the Sonoma County AIDS Network.
