On Thursday, April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., Sonoma County Supervisors will hold its second budget workshop focused on the county’s budget for the 2009/2010 fiscal year. The workshop will be held at Healdsburg City Hall, 401 Grove St. in Healdsburg. Childcare and translation services will be provided.
The workshop will give Sonoma County citizens an opportunity to learn about the situation that the county is facing and to assign their own values to a variety of county programs and services.
Anyone living or doing business in Sonoma County is invited to participate. A moderator will guide participants through an exercise to simulate reducing the county’s budget. The Board of Supervisors will consider the results of this, and several other workshops, as they make the difficult budget choices that lie ahead.
