Water rates on the rise

Customers of The Valley of the Moon Water District will see a 7 percent rate hike beginning July 1. The increase, which comes in support of a mandatory 25 percent reduction in water usage, was unanimously approved by the district board at its meeting Tuesday night and will be in effect for one year, through June 30, 2010.
