Marty Olmstead, who has been the Sonoma Valley Sun’s Metro Editor since September, has been named Assistant Managing Editor. She will work closely with Managing Editor Tim Omarzu in assigning and editing news and feature stories for the Sun. Olmstead has been a journalist for more than 25 years, including stints at BBC Radio in London, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Marin Independent-Journal. She is the author of several books, including “Hidden Wine Country” and the “California Directory of Fine Wineries.” Her articles have been published in Food & Wine, Family Circle, the Los Angeles Times and numerous other national and regional newspapers and magazines.
Olmstead will continue to write articles for the Sun as well as for FineHome and FineLife. Her e-mail and telephone extension will remain the same.
