Boys & Girls Club gets new executive director

The Boys & Girls Club Valley of the Moon announced today that David Pier is taking the helm as the organization’s new executive director. Pier, a 12 year veteran of the Hanna Boys Center’s senior management, holds a master of arts degree in psychology from Sonoma State University as well as a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA.

A longtime resident of the Sonoma Valley, Pier is an active member of the Sonoma Valley Community Advisory Council and a graduate of the Sonoma Valley Leadership program, which was offered through Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce.

According to its website, The Boys & Girls Club Valley of the Moon serves of 1,400 youth in the Sonoma Valley with a daily attendance of 200 to 250 kids a day.
