Four people were injured, one seriously enough to be airlifted, in a car crash on Broadway Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. at the entrance to Adele Harrison Middle School. At the time of the accident, a blue sedan heading south on Broadway was attempting to turn left into the middle school driveway. A driver in the northbound lane waved the sedan driver on but another car, an Audi station wagon continued in the northbound lanes. The sedan then hit the Audi, driving it into the ditch and injuring the three occupants of the car. The passenger in right front seat of the Audi lost consciousness when she was removed from the vehicle and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The other two occupants of the Audi as well as all three occupants of the sedan were transported by ground to Sonoma Valley Hospital.

Sonoma police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
