Soroptimist International of Sonoma Valley held an installation dinner for new club officers recently at The Red Grape Restaurant. President Harriette Minear chose the theme for the year, “Out on a Limb – to Change, to Bloom, to Grow.”
Linda Sue Hansen, past governor, Founding Region of Soroptimists, installed as president, Harriette Minear, Lynn Klingberg as first vice president and Cynthia Morris as second vice president. Kimberley Jandoc is recording secretary, and Julie Tanner is corresponding secretary. Alina Garcia is treasurer, and Vicki Johnson is assistant treasurer. Maddy Leader is director, and Janice Lehne and Tina Wolfenden are delegates. Grazia Bianchi was recognized as club soroptimist of the year for her enthusiasm and ideas for a successful new fundraising project and enhancements to the “Road to Reality” life skills program for Sonoma Valley high school seniors.
Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women, who work to improve the lives of women and children in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimists of Sonoma Valley have been serving and funding projects in Sonoma Valley since 1960. The club relies on charitable contributions to fund its programs.
