Sonoma Sister Cities President Bill Boerum presented the group’s official t-shirt to the vice mayor of Penglai, China, during a recent trip celebrating the Sister City partnership.
The city is located in the winemaking region of China, and Boerum will pour some of the wine brought back from the trip during a Sister Cities holiday party Friday night. The potluck dinner, 6 to 9 p.m., will take place at the Sonoma Barracks.
The event is free but guests are asked to bring serving utensils and a favorite dish to serve eight. Wine and beverages will be provided. The attire is holiday festive.
“Come celebrate a banner year and learn how you can play a valuable role in our continued success.” Boerum said. “In 2010 we added Penglai, China, and Phan Rang, Vietnam. And the Aswan committee won a prestigious grant and sent a delegation to Egypt.”
The group also debuted a new website: sonomasistercitiesassoc.org.
