Editor’s note: The following letter was submitted after a tragic event witnessed at the Plaza.
To the woman who ran over the duck on Friday afternoon and kept driving:
You should be ashamed of yourself! I understand that accidents happen but you clearly saw what you did and kept going! Why did a stranger and I have to stay there with the poor white duck flopping in the street like a fish looking clearly in pain (and I won’t go into the horrific details) and trying to keep his mate out of the street (yes they were crossing together) while you just drove off. I will never get that image out of my head! Accidents happen but you know you should have stayed and witnessed what you did. There were a lot of witnesses who were waving their arms and honking at you to warn you as you made a left onto Spain St. that you were about to run them over! You did, stopped, looked at the duck and kept going! I hope you got to wherever you needed to be on time and that you are having a goodnight’s sleep. I know I’m not.

I really appreciate Lisa’s letter. I was astonished to find out that this woman committed such a horrible act, and without any remorse.
And furthermore, there is a place in Hell reserved for people like you. Oh, What? You don’t believe in Hell? Then We will all just sit back and watch Karma run over you like you did to that poor creature.
