Work on the school district’s solar installations is going great guns. The rows of ground mounts at the district office are nearing completion and will power both the D.O. and Altimira Middle School. Shade structures are also underway at Valley elementary schools. One of the biggest components – carport structures – has effectively closed the high school parking lot for the time being. Deputy Superintendent Justin Frese is confident that construction will be completed in time for the start of school, a little more than a month away. The solar installation work is being completed by Roebbelen Construction.
