Some anonymous individual who has the eyes and the brains to notice that the affluent and grossly overrated city of Sonoma has no clothes on, cited the latest census figure for the city’s population: 10,600.
Well, if so, each of its inhabitants must own an average of about twenty-five jalopies and somehow be endowed with the remarkable ability to drive all of them at the same time as, thanks to those of the Falcon Crest limo-set like August Sebastiani and their come-one-come-all-to-sunny-Sonoma-it’s-a-grrrrreat-place-for-everybody mantra, Highway 12 is just a long parking lot.
Sebastiani was shrieking like a scalded eagle at a city council meeting not long ago that it should be referred to as the “town of Sonoma”….is this a classic study in hypocrisy or what? Because thanks to him and other wino barons who apparently want to turn the entire Sonoma Valley into a Marin County strip mall or Miracle Mile, land-rapists calling themselves “developers” have wiped out all but a rapidly dwindling memory of what was once the TOWN of Sonoma. What a sick joke.
