Lobby Hero -A Play you can't Forgot

Editor:
I’m watching a play? This is too real! This is the thought that crept, ever so slowly into my head during the thoroughly engaging production of Lobby Hero. This play by Kenneth Lonergan fits in perfectly in Andrews Hall, in the Sonoma Theatre Alliances Summer Theatre Festival.

Directed by Laureen E. Smith, with a wonderful cast of actors, this psychological drama involving a dorky security guard and a rookie NYPD officer captured the audience with bold entrances, intensely delivered dialogue, and keen lighting and sound. Humor also made its way off the stage and into the audience with witty remarks and uncomfortable situations. The play is suitable for older teens.

Beneath the humorous underbelly of Lobby Hero, however, lays a dark deceitful plot to foil the NYPD. Dark lighting and sound effects support this portion of the play quite well and I would add another thumb to its already two thumbs up!! This play is a must see and without it in your summer memories, you are clearly missing out!
