Young performers from the Sonoma Conservatory of Dance present “The Snow Maiden,” the classic Russian folktale version of “The Nutcracker,” coming to the Sebastiani Theatre on December 7 and 8.

Choreographed by Brooke Byrne of San Francisco’s Khadra International Dance Theatre, the winter-themed ballet features Viridiana Martinez in the roles of the Snow Maiden and Jamie Melendy as Lel, the shepherd boy who loves her. They will be joined by dozens of dancers from the conservatory’s elementary levels through advanced, including Angelica Griggs-Demmin as the Frost Fairy; Natalie Anderson as the Ice Princess; Olivia Cole, Elizabeth Eagles, Isabel Falls and Siobhan O’Reilly as the Four Winds; Natalie Baker as the Snow Queen and Anika Ljung as the Firebird.

The adorable Snow Drops and other magical characters complete the enchanting picture. 1 p.m. each day. Reserved seating $12-$22. Tickets available now at the conservatory (476 First St. E.), the theatre, 938.1424 or 996.9756.
