Business microloan workshop set

Entrepreneurs seeking to launch or expand a small business can find information at an upcoming event focused on microlending programs. The “MicroLoan Financing to Start or Grow Your Business” workshop and business resource fair will be held on Wednesday, August 13 at 6 p.m. at La Luz Center, 17560 Greger St. in Sonoma Valley.

This workshop will provide tips and guidance on how to obtain financing to start or expand a small business. Presenters include the Working Solutions Microloan Fund, which provides loans of up to $50,000, and the new La Luz Microloan Fund, which provides loans for businesses in the Springs community of up to $10,000.

Representatives from the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, the Sonoma Valley Economic Development Partnership, and the Napa-Sonoma Small Business Development Center will also be on hand to provide information on resources available locally to new and growing businesses, including additional workshops and one-on-one advisory services available through the Sonoma Valley Springboard program.
