Joe Martin, founder of St. Francis Winery, died on February 26 in his Sonoma Valley home. Martin was called an “early pioneer of Merlot in California,” by Wine Spectator and founded St. Francis Winery after finding success as a grape grower. St. Francis continues to be one of the most acclaimed wineries in Sonoma County and there is no doubt his legacy will be celebrated each time a bottle of St. Francis Merlot is opened. Harvest Moon now open on Tuesday + movie nights – Starting tonight, Harvest Moon is now open on Tuesdays and will be showing classic movies under the tent out back starting at 6 PM each week. Tonight starts with the 1961 classic The Hustler. Sonoma Food Tour to start this month – Created by Sonoman Mia Steiger, Sonoma Food Tours offers a 1.5 mile, 3-hour small group walking tour that includes food and wine pairings from six local eateries coupled with history and insight into food culture in Sonoma.
