The Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Foundation (SVVGF) awarded $24,400 in scholarship funds to the college bound children of Sonoma Valley winery or vineyard employees.
This year’s scholarship recipients and their affiliations include:
Mia Castro, Sonoma Valley High School – Beltane Ranch
Sara Chavez, Sonoma Valley High School – Carneros Vineyard Management
Thomas Crumly, Sonoma Valley High School – Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards
Cutler Price, Cardinal Newman High School – Ravenswood Winery
Nina Sheridan, Choate Rosemary Hall – Chateau St. Jean
Ciara Smith, Sonoma Valley High School – Benziger Family Winery
Ashley Trejo, Sonoma Academy
Wyatt Williams, Santa Rosa Junior College – St. Francis Winery & Vineyards
Over the past twenty one years, the SVVGF has awarded just under $250,000 to deserving students who have at least one parent employed by a winery or vineyard within the Sonoma Valley region.
