Sonoma Valley ‘Sweethearts’

August and Allison Sebastiani have been selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley as this year’s ‘Sweethearts” – the honorees of the 2016 Sweetheart Gala & Auction. The formal bash, set for February 13, is the most important event of the year for BGCSV, generating 15 percent of the annual budget.

‘Sweethearts’ are selected for their commitment to improving the lives of children and teens through leadership, volunteering, and financial support.

For five generations the Sebastiani family has been dedicated to supporting the youth of the Sonoma Valley community, said the Clubs’ Andrea McGinty. “August and Allison continue this tradition and truly epitomize what it means to be a ‘Sweetheart.’”

August Sebastiani has served on the nonprofit’s Executive Board, and currently sponsors the Youth of the Year event which provides post-secondary education scholarships and celebrates the achievements of Sonoma Valley teens. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Presentation School, as well as the Trustee of the August Sebastiani Foundation.

Allison Sebastiani volunteers for BGCSV and works to bring renowned speakers to share their wisdom with our community through the Presentation School Speaker Series.

The two are BGCSV alumna, McGinty said, and together they now enjoy watching their children participate in athletic programs there.

“August and Allison’s commitment to nurture the youth of Sonoma Valley inspired this year’s theme: With Love, All Things Grow,” McGinty said.
