A sure sign of fall (along with pumpkin spice lattes, unraked leaves and two aisles of Halloween candy at Safeway) is the appearance of the humble scarecrow. This fine specimen guards an emerging pumpkin patch along Arnold Drive, just south of Aqua Caliente Road.
