After less than one year on the job, Sonoma Valley High School Principal Alberto Solorzano has “decided to pursue opportunities” according to a statement from the school district.
Jessica Hutchinson, a vice principal at SVHS for seven years, was named acting principal for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
“Principal Solorzano is committed to assisting Ms. Hutchinson with the transition,” the announcement said. “SVHS and SVUSD will work collaboratively in the coming week to develop and communicate a plan for the 2020/2021 school year.”
Solorzano was hired last May, and began in July. He replaced Justin Mori, who also served only one year.
