A Sonoma man, reported missing last week after failing to return home from a short drive into town, was found dead Monday in a state park north of Calistoga.
The body of Robert Fuentes, 78, was discovered in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park, on Highway 29. Foul play is not suspected, officials said.
When last seen on August 13, Fuentes was driving a white pick-up truck. Officers were told that Fuentes had left his cell phone at home, and it was believed he was traveling only within Sonoma. He was considered at-risk because of medical issues.
On Monday, Fuentes’ empty truck was found parked in Clearlake. Later that day the body of Fuentes was found at Stevenson Park, on Highway 29 midway between Calistoga and Middletown.
