Trump’s COVID denial is unconscionable

Posted on September 14, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun

It has become clear that the deniers of the severity of COVID-19 are ignoring the science of educated specialists that have studied infectious disease, thus spreading the disease by their actions. President Trump is responsible for the deaths of thousands because he set the stage for such stupidity. He lies (20,000 so far) that he didn’t want to start a panic over this disease; in reality, it was his fear about a drop in the stock market. Without facts, death numbers increased.

To deny a dangerous fact by a president who is supposed to protect this nation is shocking. To deny the people the facts so they can take appropriate precautions is unconscionable.

Our existence depends on changing and putting a halt on people that deny what is happening, and that means electing a president that does listen to facts and makes the changes needed to keep us safe. A president that looks at cleaner ways of energy and a president that doesn’t deny facts from people that study the various threats to our existence.

Facts can be scary, but necessary. This November, vote like your life depends on it, because it does.
