How to book a mystery date

Chocolate works, of course, but the real way to the heart is via the head –with a good book. The Sonoma Valley public library has come up with a clever Valentine’s Day promotion: The Mystery Date with a Book.

Each volume is wrapped in secrecy, but for its genre (mystery, short stories, etc.) and the first line.

Look for the table inside the library’s front door, 755 West Napa St. Open M 10-6; Tues-Wed. 10-8; Th-Sat 10-6. Closed Sunday.
