French chefs Pascal Merle and his wife Pascale were pleased to share extra fresh-baked treats with customers on Thursday morning, as this March is the fifth anniversary of their Les Pascals Patisserie et Boulangerie in Glen Ellen.
Building owner, Christine Hansson is pleased with the couple’s success. She chatted briefly with The Sun. “I met them while on a visit to Carmel. I was so impressed with their authentic French food and delicious pastries that I invited them to come to Sonoma,” she said. It took some effort to convince them, Hensson said. “I had the space completely renovated to their exact specifications. I just knew instinctively, their bakery would be a fit here in Glen Ellen.”
Pascale said, “here in Sonoma is so beautiful and the people, the customers, we love being here! So happy we got the opportunity and we took the chance.”
Making everything fresh from scratch, the bakery cafe offers both sweet and savory items. In addition to enjoying that authentic croissant, French cuisine fans will find real Quiche Lorraine and baguette sandwiches prepared daily.
Located at 13758 Arnold Drive at the heart of Glen Ellen, Les Pascals Patisserie et Boulangerie is the cheerful yellow building. Closed on Wednesdays, Les Pascals Patisserie is open during the week from 6am to 4:30pm for indoor and patio dining, as well as take-out. 707-934-8378.
