Sun on the Street: What’s your favorite place in Sonoma?

The Sonoma Valley Sun’s inquiring photographer walks through town and asks people (locals and tourists alike) fun questions about themselves and the Valley!

Question: What is your favorite, most scenic setting in Sonoma Valley? — asked on Sonoma Plaza

My favorite spot is where I am sitting, right here – the Square. We have come five or six times over the last 20 years. I have sat here. My kids have played here. And I love just being in the Square and waiting for the Farmer’s Market to open up.

– Paul Smetko, Seattle Washington

I love the Square very much. I have very fond memories of the kids playing with the ducks and walking around the pond. Visiting the Mission. I love the quietness of this place and also, I love the Farmer’s Market.

– Diana Forlenza, Seattle, Washington

The top of Sonoma Mountain gives you sweeping views of the entire Valley.

– Hannah Machado, Petaluma

Definitely the Plaza. A scenic spot, full of trees and gardens and is filled with great people.

Alexandria, Sonoma

The Montini Preserve. It is the hills right behind the Square. It has beautiful trails through oak trees and is very quiet and peaceful. You can see a spectacular city view of the town. It’s lovely.
