Moment in The Sun: Jim Webb

Jim Webb is the Sugarloaf Ridge State Park volunteer of the month for January. He began volunteering a year ago as a trail patrol volunteer.

His experience in previous work with USFS lends itself to very detailed trail reports, according to the Sugarloaf team. “On any given day, you can find him on the mountain, especially in those harder-to-hike trails. His reports of ‘What’s Blooming/Fruiting?’ are a naturalist’s weekly treat, and his most recent efforts, concentrated on meticulous examination of data from our trails has led to improved data as it relates to ease of access trail descriptions and other areas in the park.”
