Join the City of Sonoma in honoring Mr. Schake at a reception in recognition of his ongoing efforts and contributions to the Sonoma community.
The program will include acknowledgements, light refreshments, and the official passing of the Alcalde’s silver-tipped cane.
The City of Sonoma proudly chose Wayne Schake as the 2024 Honorary Alcalde, recognizing his unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to the community.
Wayne Schake, a veteran of the Air Force, has been an unsung hero in Sonoma, involved in projects ranging from park clean-ups to educational initiatives. His dedication extends to serving on various community boards and volunteering for nonprofits like the Boys and Girls Club, La Luz, and the Vintage House.
The event is free to attend, at Vintage House Senior Center beginning at 6:30 p.m., but registration via Eventbrite is required.
