Women’s collective giving organization Impact100 Sonoma—one of Sonoma Valley’s largest and most reliable funders—has launched a new online tool for matching its members and other civic-minded locals with its nonprofit partners seeking assistance. Housed on the organization’s website (https://www.impact100sonoma.org/CSH), the new Community Service Hub enables Impact100 Sonoma grant recipients past and present to list their needs for volunteers, board members, pro-bono professional services, and supplies. The nonprofits also may promote upcoming events but not solicit cash donations. Hub visitors simply click on a listing and contact the nonprofit directly to learn more, and can sign up to receive automatic alerts of opportunities from organizations they select.
“The Community Service Hub is a significant added benefit for Impact100 Sonoma grant recipients,” said Grants Oversight Co-Chair Kathy Bloch. “It connects them with dedicated volunteers who can support their mission and expands their reach by leveraging our network. Submitting a listing is quick and easy for nonprofits, and we review and monitor all content.”
“Many of our members already give their time, talents, and resources to strengthen our nonprofit partners,” said Co-President Debbe Noto. “The Community Service Hub enables them to do more, learn where the need is greatest, and find volunteer and other opportunities that suit their interests.”
The resource is available to the public. Said Sophia Coyle, President of the Sonoma Valley Newcomers Club, “The Community Service Hub helps to fill a need for our members, too. We receive consistent feedback that volunteerism is something they wish to pursue. Knowing they can visit the hub anytime opens up a range of possibilities for them.”
“We encourage everyone to visit the hub,” said Noto. “Our goal is that it will become a widely used tool for matching the needs of trusted nonprofits with people who care—and for helping to achieve our vision of a just and thriving Sonoma Valley.”
