The VIP tent was one of the hot tickets for the Sonoma International Film Festival, the 120-film, multiple-venue extravaganza that wrapped on March 27. The cinema spree included one-of-a-kind culinary events, with chefs Jacques Pepin and Joanne Weir, and free public events including the always-popular Sonoma Valley High School Media Arts Showcase (with a live cameo by actress Karen Allen) and a Chaplin Silent Film with live music from The Hometown Band.

Filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom with NTY Best Selling Author Eve Rodsky, who wrote Fair Play: A Game-Changing Solution For When You Have Too Much To Do (And More Life To Live)*, on which the documentary was based. Siebel Newsom’s husband, Gavin, attended the premiere.*

Actor/director Karen Allen kicked off the festival by speaking to the students at the SVHS Media Arts Showcase on Wednesday, March 23. SVHS Student Filmmaker Bella Quillici moderated the discussion.
