The Tennessee Williams drama “The Glass Menagerie,” directed by Kate Kennedy, opens tonight, July 28 at the Sonoma Community Center. The play hovers between false memory and harsh reality within a Southern household. Narrated by son Tom – “I give you truth in the disguise of illusion” – the drama recalls his mother, a faded Southern belle living in the past, and his fragile sister living in a world of her own.
The production runs Thurs.-Sat. nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Andrews Hall. 938-4626. Info and tickets at Sonomacommunitycenter.org.
