With the election less than six weeks away, District 1 Supervisor candidates will again spar in a public forum on Thursday, April 26. Sponsored by the Sonoma County League of Women Voters, the televised event will be held at the Sonoma Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
Four candidates are expected to participate: Sonoma energy consultant Mark Bramfitt; Boyes Hot Springs communications consultant Gina Cuclis; Sonoma Mayor Joanne Sanders; and Santa Rosa City Council members Susan Gorin and John Sawyer. The fifth declared candidate, Glen Ellen teacher Michael McClure, did not respond to the invitation, according to the league’s Linda Garcia.
Ellen Swenson will moderate the panel. The format calls for opening statements, followed by questions submitted by community members and brief closing remarks by each candidate.
The forum will be televised live on SUN TV Channel 27. Rebroadcasts are schedule for Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
