Voters who can’t get to their Election Day polling place are invited to call for a ride – courtesy of the Sonoma Valley Democratic Club.
“The most important thing is to get to the polls and vote, to make your voice heard,” volunteer coordinator Linda Wilson said Wednesday, explaining that the service is offered regardless of a voter’s political preference. “Because we have a large population of seniors and older people living in Sonoma, we wanted to make sure they don’t get stuck and can participate – Republicans as well as Democrats.”
Wilson said the door-to-door service will be offered from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 throughout Sonoma Valley. Those interested should call 707.939.8767 and provide their name, address and time for pickup.
