Four students were honored at Tuesday’s school board meeting for their exemplary academic and personal achievements.
Jocelyn Amezquita and Emma Caballero, both fifth-graders, were nominated by the staff at Flowery Elementary School. Jocelyn’s teachers praised her as a “treasured student.” They said Emma is strong in all academic areas, and they also praised her for doing more than is asked of her and being willing to accept challenges and help others.
Adele Harrison Middle School students Greg Maggioncalda and Jessica Wilson were honored for their academic achievement and great personalities. Both are frequently named on the Principal’s Honor Roll. They were praised for their sportsmanship, kindness and leadership qualities. Jessica was singled out for her good humor and keen fashion sense. Teachers mentioned that Greg really understands what it is to be a team player and always encourages his classmates.
