Don Sebastiani opens third office
The Sonoma Valley-based wine negociant Don Sebastiani & Sons on Tuesday announced the opening of its third location in downtown Sonoma. The building, originally a call and payment center for Pacific Bell, is located one half block south of the Plaza on First Street East and will house the company’s marketing department. Designed by Bob Benz of local architecture firm Thomas Anderson & Co., the space preserves the original early California Mission-style exterior while featuring an open, modern studio interior.

donates respirators
Sonoma’s fire department, Sonoma Valley FireMed, received a $1,500 grant from London House Care Center for the purchase of two continuous positive air pressure machines. The machines will be used to save people in respiratory distress. According to Capt. Alan Jones, the machines will be used to quickly clear lungs that are filling up with fluid. As she presented the check to Fire Chief John Keane, London House Administrator, Louise Merrick said, “I am delighted Beverly Healthcare gives us these grant funds to fulfill needs like this for our community.”

director wins car
Paula Gentry, long-time Sonoma resident and sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, was honored for her sales achievement when the international cosmetics firm offered her the use of a new Grand Prix SE automobile. Gentry joined Mary Kay in 1985 and became an independent sales director two years later.

Roth replaces Riggs
Steve Roth is replacing Cynthia Riggs as the new Small Business Development Center business counselor for the Sonoma Valley. Roth has over 30 years experience in new business, new product development, sales marketing and financial management. Most recently, Roth was the founder and CEO for a Web-based retailer offering sporting goods worldwide. Consultation appointments with Roth are available to Sonoma Valley businesses at no cost. Dean and Daryle Baldwin celebrated the first anniversary of Alioto & Baldwin Interiors. Among the capabilities of the full-service design center and showroom is complete office decorating for Valley businesses and residents. The couple’s goal for Alioto & Baldwin, located at 644 Third St. West, is to make their design firm the local destination for all home and office decorating projects.
