Sonoma man threatens another

Last Tuesday, a 45-year-old man living in the 500 block of Joaquin Drive called the Sonoma police to complain about another Sonoma man, 51 years old, who allegedly visited the complainant’s house and threatened bodily harm. Police located the suspect at his own home and believed him to be under the influence of a controlled substance. In a search of the suspect’s house, police found both a shotgun and a pistol. The suspect was arrested for use of criminal threats and for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and he was transported to jail in Santa Rosa.
Two more cars have been hit in the continuing wave of wee-hour thefts. On Thursday, a resident on the 400 block of Eastin Drive was wakened by his car alarm at 5 a.m. The driver’s side window on his SUV had been shattered, apparently with a hose nozzle, but a wallet and purse were untouched on the front seat of the car. Later that day, it was discovered that a $310 GPS navigation system had been removed from an unlocked car in the 700 block of Towne Street, along with some loose change.
