While local children were out on Halloween night collecting sugary candy, the staff and family members of Synergy Dental Group were gearing up for their first ever Cash for Candy event. Held on Nov. 1, the event netted over 209 pounds of candy. Children came to the office with their treat bags in hand, weighed them and were given $1 per pound. Each child was also given a raffle ticket for a chance to win various prizes donated by local businesses that partnered with Synergy Dental Group to make this event a success. The grand prize was a Blue Ray DVD player.
Dr.’s Mangrum and Hubennette, DDS and the staff of Synergy Dental Group are dedicated to supporting families in all areas of health and well-being and this effort was put forth to raise awareness of the adverse effects sugar is known to have on health and the immune system.
As the event came to a close, the candy was carried away in a dump truck provided by Ron Church Concrete Construction.
Synergy Dental Group expects this to become an annual event. The office is located at 660 Third St. W. in Sonoma, 707-938-9066 or by e-mail at synergycoordinator@gmail.com or online at synergydentalgroup.net
