Kristine and Shotsie Gorman celebrate the opening of their Tarot Art and Tattoo Gallery in Boyes Hot Springs. The unique space, at 17977 Highway 12, features her Visionary Woman tarot card readings, and his tattoo business.

It will also show their painting and other artworks, and has room for an artist-in-residence and community happenings. Tarot-inspired jewelry designed by Erika Schmitt is also on display.

Kristine, who hosts a radio program from Mondays at 4 p.m. on KSVY 91.3 FM, said her readings often uncover “the stuff that doesn’t get said out loud.” The private sessions can be heartening, weird or even unsettling, “but I always give the tools to do something about it. You leave empowered.” Shotsie’s masterful tattoo works, meanwhile, are bold, colorful statements – “a roller coaster ride of ancient and modern forms… a magical blend of your dreams and his intuitive interpretation.”

He has been honing his art for over 35 years, including owning tattoo shops in New Jersey. The couple has a daughter,  Cleo, age 10. The Tarot Art and Tattoo Gallery (T.A.T. Gallery) is open from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, contact 938-3000 or facebook.com/sonomatatgallery.
