Best of Sonoma Valley 2015: best idea

For years there has been only two food delivery games in town – Pizzeria Capri and Mary’s Pizza Shack.

Well, they aren’t the only game in Sonoma Valley anymore.

Sonoma Food Taxi (sonomafoodtaxi.com) delivers freshly prepared food from Taste of the Himalayas, Della Santina, the Red Grape, La Casa Restaurant, Maya Restaurant, B&V Whiskey Bar and Grille, and starting this year – Shiso Modern Asian Kitchen.

The concept is so fabulous, we order it weekly. The food arrives warm (or cold, if you’re enjoying sushi), the service is friendly, and they don’t look at you funny when you answer the door wearing your cat-decorated flannel pajamas.

As if it can’t get any better – you can order online with a few clicks of your mouse. Dinner arrives with a half hour on average. Brilliant!
