In on the ground floor

The structure at 172 West Spain gets a lift in preparation for a new foundation. As part of the new “Hawker Place” project, the old house, along with neighboring structures at 158 and 164 West Spain, are being converted into vacation rentals.

The homes were built in 1925. The design goal of the project, owner Michael Marino said, is to replicate the old style to make them “look like they were built in the early 1900s.”
